  1. Mission Statement 
    The Atlantic Coast Opera Festival    ’s mission is to     mission is to create a world-class summer opera venue of international stature à la Glyndebourne or Salzburg Festival, featuring outstanding, yet unknown, artists of international caliber to whom it provides much needed training, stage experience and exposure. The Festival thus endeavors to significantly enrich the cultural landscape of the Greater Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey/Delaware community where Grand Opera is lacking during the summer months. Among others, City Paper journalist Steve Cohen’s comment on us was, “Philadelphia has a multitude of opera companies but, until now, nothing like this!”
